Beau Plan is becoming even more fluid and connected, much to the delight of its residents and daily users. Its new road, which now links Mon Rocher to the heart of the city, makes it possible to reach Mahogany Shopping Promenade and the lake within minutes from the Mon Rocher area, home to Caña Padel Club, Greencoast International School and Les Écuries de Mon Rocher. Practical and pleasant, this new road promises to make everyday life easier for everyone, including pedestrians, cyclists and scooter users, who can now move safely from one area of Beau Plan to another.
The other exciting new addition this year is the tiny forest now taking root in the city. Located just a short walk from the Indigo apartments, it spans seven plots of 100 m² each, with a total of 6,300 endemic and indigenous trees planted. What is the purpose of such a small forest? While it is, of course, visually appealing, it also serves a responsible purpose: helping to depollute the urban environment by imitating the structure of a natural forest. Planted closely together, the trees and plants grow at a remarkably accelerated pace. True pockets of biodiversity, tiny forests attract insects and birds while absorbing CO₂, filtering the air and reducing local temperatures. A real plus for our island and its climate.
Led by botanist Jean-Claude Sevathian, the project was co-created by around sixty Terra employees, joined by a few tenants from Mahogany Shopping Promenade. Everyone rolled up their sleeves for the occasion, united by the desire to green the city and enhance collective well-being. Each entity of the Terra Group sponsored a plot, while companies based in Beau Plan, such as Investec and Mourant, also put their hands in the soil on their respective areas.
Sustainable and collective, for a greener and more vibrant city. A project that truly reflects the values of Beau Plan.
